Since installing Spyware Terminator 2012 about a month ago, my PC has taken to freezing up on me.

This morning I found that it froze just as Spyware was being installed and an offer to upgrade to the non-free version was presented. I tried ctrl-alt-del but it was frozen so I had to do a turn-off-power-shutdown. 

Upon booting, I executed a ctrl-alt-del as quickly as possible and then when the process for spyware was displayed (there are two), I shut them down and then uninstalled the software.

 

Upon uninstalling the screen on the left was displayed. Maybe it's just a personal thing, but the upgrade screens that are shown whenever booting up and this screen really give the impression that the group (xacti, the parent company of Crawler which is the distributor (I guess) of Spyware) is working in a grey area between white hat and black hat.

After running without spyware for a month or so, I will let you know if the freezing problem went away.
