I recently began using Amazon's S3 services to backup this site, dfi-america.com using Akeeba Backup Professional. Up till now I have backed up sites to a sub-directory in each site. Each site itself is also backed-up daily. But does even this amount of backup really provide a level of security that allows you to sleep soundly each night?
Keeping your site backed-up plays an essential role in maintaining a secure site. Have you have ever lost files, pictures, movies, or other valuable information on your computer due to hard disk failure? If you have, did you have a backup where you kept copies of that information? If not, you understand the importance of having backups.
